We all have a goal in mind. I am not concerned about what you have or have not done on your journey, to this point. Let’s be clear, that your wins are my wins and I want nothing but the best for you. I do have a challenge for you, but only if you are up to being tested. This is not a written test or something that I have developed for you either.
I want you to think of a goal that has been on your mind for a while now, that you just haven’t made the time to pursue. You know the one that would change the entire direction of your life if you were able to reach it?
What prevents us from going after those goals that are well beyond the high walls of our comfort zone? Even though we fully understand the benefits of accomplishing these objectives, we stay firmly planted right where we are. Why is this?
One little word….FEAR.
Here is my challenge to you. I want you to take significant action towards accomplishing this goal in the next 30 days. If you always talk about “what you are going to do someday,” this may be to be too much for you to handle. On the other hand, it may not because I do not know you or what you’re made of. If you have been so close to taking that step for so long, use this challenge as your reason for the change.
Have you been thinking of starting a business? Thought of taking your business in a new direction or perhaps to another level all together? Now is your time to do just that. Starting when you finish reading this blog post, I would like to challenge you to figure out what you need to do today to set yourself up for success, in 30 days from today. Pretend you are giving someone else advice on how to do just that and outline the following milestones to follow:
-
What is my 30-day goal?
-
Accomplishing it will take what each week to reach the 30-day goal?
-
How do I accomplish each day’s goal in order to reach the weekly goal?
-
Which habits do I need to embrace each day in order to hit my daily goal?
A lot of people can get through this part, but the action part still does not happen.
Consider these pain points for what will happen if you do not accomplish this goal. What amount of money will you potentially lose by not getting this done? Will failing to reach this goal impact your happiness and career growth? How long will you continue to tolerate the mediocrity that has become your life?!
You are exactly where you should be in your life right now. It is combination of your work ethic and how you choose to respond to the circumstances that you are faced with. Decisions always carry consequences with them whether they are positive or negative. Think about this and accept it as reality, and then decide what you are going to do with the information.
Packed with powerful ideas for improving your life in all areas, including fitness, food, mindfulness, relationships, networking and more, this book “The Big Book of 30-Day Challenges: 60 Habit-Forming Programs to Live an Infinitely Better Life” shows how to create lasting habits by first succeeding at a 30-day challenge.
What do you think about my challenge? Are you in or are you out?
If you choose to go all in and reach your goal, think about how that will feel. Amazing, right? Think about how much easier it will be to do it again and again and again. This will be a useful experience in setting and hitting those longer range goals too!
Let me know in the comments, what you decide to do.
Cheers.
