Who doesn’t like a good challenge? Now for an even better question. Who doesn’t like to overcome a good challenge? I think that it is safe to say that everyone likes the feeling of walking away from a challenge, victorious. What happens when you reach the goals that you have set for yourself and overcome all of the challenges that you were presented with? For one, you start getting comfortable. Is this good for your continued growth and development or not so much? I suppose that answer depends on what you want out of life. Regardless of what you decide, fostering additional growth requires continuous challenge and this in itself can require some creativity to accomplish.
It takes more effort to get on top of your game than it does to stay on top.
But it does still require effort. Creating goals coincides with creating new challenges for yourself and the harder and further you push yourself, the greater the reward. If you can remain hungry for success and your desire to reach your goals remains stronger than your fear of failing, then you are on your way. Challenge builds character and creates major growth opportunities for us all. The most productive types of challenges that we face are the ones that we seek out ourselves. If we cannot find the opportunities in life that we desire, we must be wiling to create them. Doing so requires you to bet heavily on yourself and face all of the challenges that come along with it. If it were easy to do, everyone would do it.
Remember this while you decide if being average is “good enough,” for you.
The individuals in this world who really become experts at their trade, do so by inoculating themselves with everything that they can find that pertains to their area of interest. This leads to obsession for all available information and all of the available experiences that go with it. This mindset will ensure that you continuous challenge yourself for the rest of your days. This will offer you triumphs that few can relate to and wisdom beyond your widest dreams. Some people enjoy having other people push them, and others push themselves harder than anyone else ever could. Overcoming the biggest challenges will offer the biggest rewards, so to get the gain you must experience the pain. It’s so true said in this book “Unfu*k Yourself: Get Out of Your Head and into Your Life” which talks about self-empowerment guide that offers an honest, no-nonsense, tough-love approach to help you move past self-imposed limitations!
