Episode #176: An Extra Ordinary Delight with Aaron Hale

In this episode, a few special things come to fruition. For one, Brandy decided to show up (which never happens…except when it does). Plus we spoke to an incredible guest. I will go out on a limb and say that this guest has the most motivational story that I have ever heard. Besides being a rockstar in life Aaron Hale has built an amazing business too. This is absolutely, positively an episode that you don’t want to miss. Enjoy!

About Aaron Hale

Aaron Hale, a 14-year veteran, military chef, and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (E.O.D) team leader has overcome all odds. From the moment a blast robbed Aaron of his vision in Afghanistan to years later when he lost his hearing, he refused to accept defeat.

Now equipped with cochlear implants and his wife McKayla at his side, Aaron has found his passion again–it’s back in the kitchen! Cooking is providing not only a sense of happiness for himself but for others around the world. One piece of fudge at a time. McKayla and Aaron work together every day to create these Extra Ordinary Delights. They can’t wait to share them with you.

About EOD Fudge

E.O.D. Fudge stands for Extra Ordinary Delights. The name not only serving as a nod to the years Aaron spent as an EOD Tech in the military but to the perfectionism with which he approached that former position. “I want to be the best at what I do,” Aaron states. “I want E.O.D. Fudge to be the best fudge in the world.”

E.O.D. Fudge boasts some delectable flavors like the favorite “‘Merican Pick Me Up” with toasted Georgia pecans, bourbon cream, and American Pride Roasters Coffee, a take on the favorite Italian dessert Tiramisu. There’s also “Straw Barry White” with organic dehydrated strawberries and strawberry Tequila Liqueur combined in white chocolate on top of a semi-sweet layer. And if these recipes aren’t enough to persuade even a non-sweet tooth, a recently awarded grant from Nantucket-based non-profit Holidays For Heroes will help put E.O.D. Fudge on the map.
