When you are running a business, reading is essential. Above all of its benefits, it is what helps you learn and grow. This is true not just as a business owner, but as a person. However, if you’re like a lot of business owners, there are not enough hours in the day to pick up a book and read. This is why podcasts are so helpful.

I’ve pulled together a list of Intentionally Inspirational’s favorite marketing podcasts to listen to in 2020. Most of the podcasts are hosted by leaders in the marketing industry. These leaders are trying to help business owners improve the marketing for their company.

Jason’s Picks

To start I asked Intentionally Inspirational founder Jason Wright to tell me what he’s currently listening to. Jason’s top picks help shape the way he looks at the marketing industry. Here are his top five:

1. Marketing Secrets

Russell Brunson hosts the Marketing Secrets podcast. If that name sounds familiar, that’s because he’s the co-founder of ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels is the largest creation software currently on the market. Brunson uses his Marketing Secrets podcast to talk about what he’s learned and the trends he sees in the industry today.

2. The Science of Social Media

The folks at Buffer bring you The Science of Social Media. The show explores the “best practices and insights from top social media marketing experts. Some of their top episodes are Brand Secrets for Standing Out in a Crowded World. They also have a Crash Course in Custom Audiences for Your Social Media Ads.

4. Building a StoryBrand

According to the tagline on Apple, “If you’re frustrated because you struggle to get the word out about your product or service, the Building a StoryBrand podcast will help. Fans of the podcast are ecstatic about the fun and entertaining way Donald Miller brings you practical advice about clarifying your message so customers will listen.” In other words, if you are looking for some advice in terms you can understand then this is for you!

5. The Marketing Matrix

Marketer Lisanne Murphy hosts The Marketing Matrix podcast. This social media agency owner, “…uncovers the best entrepreneurial minds to demystify the nitty-gritty marketing secrets that make all the difference in actual businesses.” To sum it up, she gets some great guests and shares some great secrets!

Jason listens to a lot more than this, however, those were his top five.

Short Podcasts, Plenty of Information

These next podcasts are short, sweet, and to the point. These are something you can fit in while you’re getting ready for work, or just need a minute to yourself. Above all, they pack in the information for their limited length.
